These extra crispy turmeric chicken wings are bursting with flavor with every bite you take. They have the perfect amount of crunch and are seasoned with all anti-inflammatory spices. This is a no-fry, no inflammatory oil recipe that you will keep coming back to. Turmeric has many powerful anti-inflammatory properties like helping with joint pain, boosting our immune systems, helping reduce the risk of cancer, and much more! I recommend having fresh turmeric root in your house for multi-purpose use.

These wings are great to have around during football and the holiday season or even just for a dinner. The secret here is the aluminum-free baking powder that is used to coat the wings. It gives it that amazing crunch as they bake in the oven and soaks in all the wonderful spices. Pair the wings with some fresh vegetables and primal kitchen ranch and you got yourself the perfect meal to share amongst friends and family!

Tips for making crispy turmeric chicken wings

  • I recommend marinating your wings in all the seasonings the night before if you can and allowing them to sit in your refrigerator. This is going to give them optimal flavor and tenderness. They will fall right off the bone with every bite. But if this is not doable, at least marinate for up to 1 hour in all the spices.
  • This recipe is for 3 dozen wings, but if you are doing more just double the seasoning measurements. If you are doing less than 3 dozen wings I would decrease the measurements in half.

Crispy Turmeric Chicken Wings

These crispy turmeric chicken wings are loaded with anti-inflammatory spices and have an incredible crunch to each bite!

  • Large baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • measuring spoons


  • 3-4 lbs chicken wings preferably organic/pasture-raised
  • 2 tablespoons aluminum-free baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for extra heat


  • The night before you plan to bake, rinse your defrosted chicken wings, and pat them dry. In a large mixing bowl add your wings, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, turmeric, salt and pepper, and avocado oil. Mix well and allow them to marinate in your refrigerator overnight.
  • When ready to bake the wings preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread your wings on the pan.
  • Place in the oven and flip your wings every 20 minutes. The total time of baking is 60 minutes, so you will flip your wings twice. This ensures every part of the wing is getting crispy.
  • Once done, allow them to cool and enjoy! You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 4 days.
