Equipment

  • Large baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs chicken wings preferably organic/pasture-raised
  • 2 tablespoons aluminum-free baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. The night before you plan to bake, rinse your defrosted chicken wings, and pat them dry. In a large mixing bowl add your wings, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, turmeric, salt and pepper, and avocado oil. Mix well and allow them to marinate in your refrigerator overnight.
  2. When ready to bake the wings preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread your wings on the pan.
  3. Place in the oven and flip your wings every 20 minutes. The total time of baking is 60 minutes, so you will flip your wings twice. This ensures every part of the wing is getting crispy.
  4. Once done, allow them to cool and enjoy! You can store any leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 4 days.
