Brown Rice In Instant Pot

Brown rice is a great side dish for any meal but even better in your instant pot. This brown rice in instant pot recipe is quick and simple!

  • Instant Pot
  • Measuring cups


  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown rice this will make 2 cooked cups
  • 2 cups water


  • Rinse your rice. Let soak for 30 minutes (optional).
  • Pour your avocado oil or olive oil into your instant pot.
  • Pour rice and water in and add salt. Stir.
  • Secure the lid and set the pressure to high, and cook for 30 minutes. Let pot naturally release.
  • Once the pin drops, open pot, and spoon the rice to fluff it up.
  • You can store your rice in an airtight container for 4-5 days. Enjoy!
